The lands of the MHA Nation provide many opportunities to get in touch with nature.

Boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, bird watching – a variety of outdoor experiences await visitors to the tribal lands. For many activities, skilled guides are available to help visitors get the most out of the adventure.

In addition to outdoor activities on tribal lands, the nearby Lake Sakakawea State Park offers a full-service marina, guide services, boat rentals, boat ramps and outdoor recreation areas.

Boating & Fishing

There’s no better way to unwind than to enjoy some of the many water activities available on Lake Sakakawea. From a relaxing boat trip to the thrill of catching a trophy fish, visitors enjoy pristine waters and endless skies.

Hunting

The Fort Berthold Indian Reservation is a hunter’s paradise. With rolling hills, forested buttes and wide open spaces, the lands of MHA Nation are home to everything from small game to mountain lions, deer and moose.

Nothing says “summer” quite like a round of golf, and the well-manicured greens on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation are the perfect place to tee off with family and friends.

Edgewater Golf Course features nine holes with a par of 36 and a six-tee driving range.

Trail Rides

Enjoy the subtle beauty of the prairies as you follow the natural trails of MHA Nation on horseback. Healing Horse Ranch offers year-round, public riding with guided trail rides for children and adults. The ranch also is a well-known equine event facility perfect for hosting rodeo events.
